University Symphony Orchestra announces Fall auditions...

Wayne State University Symphony Orchestra welcomes new members subject to a satisfactory audition. The orchestra is primarily made of Music majors; however, capable musicians who are pursuing other degrees or programs and who play an orchestral instrument are welcome to audition. Orchestra scholarships are available. The orchestra performs a wide range of repertory, from Baroque to contemporary. Upcoming programs will include Rossini's Italian in Algiers, Mussorgsky's Night on Bald Mountain, Beethoven's "Eroica" symphony, and Brahms German Requiem in collaboration with the University Choirs. Auditions will take place on August 31 and September 1. Rehearsals will begin on September 7.
