Farmington Hills resident Ara Topouzian's documentary, "Guardians of Music: A History of Armenian Music in Detroit," will play October 1, 7 p.m., at Phoenix Theatres, Livonia. Ticket proceeds will benefit the Ara Topouzian Armenian Musical Heritage Scholarship at Wayne State. The scholarship is intended for undergraduate or graduate students of WSU who are pursuing a degree within the Department of Music. Recipients will be exposed to traditional Armenian music with the possibility of performing in a future recital with other Armenian musicians.
