Biography
Edward Stumpp is a composer and improviser of electronic and electroacoustic music. His work focuses on implementations of machine listening, guided improvisation, animated scores, and audio-visual music.
Currently, Edward is teaching at multiple institutions in Michigan. This includes: Alma College, Wayne State University, and Michigan State University. His classes range from introductory courses in electronic music & audio recording, electronic music synthesis, improvisational/electronic music ensembles, and advanced computer music techniques utilizing the computer program Max.
He holds a D.MA. in Music Composition from Michigan State University (2020), a Master of Fine Art in Electronic Music and Recording Media from Mills College (2012), and a Bachelor of Music in Music Composition from Boise State University (2009).
