Wayne State University Voice Day 2023

Wayne State University is pleased to welcome you to participate in the annual Voice Day which will be held on Saturday November 18, 2023. This daylong event will take place on the campus of Wayne State University. Students will have many enriching experiences designed to spark growth and possibility in preparing for their journey as musicians. The day will include vocal masterclasses, choral clinics, performances, and rehearsals with Wayne State faculty members, culminating in a Choral performance at the end of the day.

How to Nominate Students
The nomination process is easy and can be done online. Follow this link to the Voice Day Nomination Form:
Deadline
Students are selected and nominated by their teachers. To be considered, nominations must be received by October 1, 2023. Teachers may nominate both select ensembles and individual singers. Nominations will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis equitably distributed amongst schools. Students selected for the Voice Day will be notified by October 6 of their selection. At that time, teachers, parents and students will receive detailed information about registration, the day's schedule, where to park, what to bring, and other information. We kindly request that you only nominate students who can make the commitment for the entire day. Students are expected to be accompanied by their teacher and accompanist.
Voice Day Schedule
A full schedule will be sent upon selection for the Voice Day. You can expect to arrive around 9:00am. The day will culminate in a group Choral performance that will end at 5:30pm.
What better way is there to energize your students than to have them participate in a great day of music making! Thank you for encouraging your students to participate in this year's event. We would especially like to invite any students considering a career in music, as well as students considering attending WSU in the future.
